A German living in London (UK)

I do not feel entitled to tell anyone what to do. I only tell my story based on my views and experiences while constantly challenging myself and trying to see the world with fresh eyes, a beginner's mind.

I wished others would have shared their story with me when I was not sure which direction my life would take. And why should only coders, architects or designers have a portfolio of their projects?

My “Life Resume" is about the things I did that looked intimidating initially but weren't in the end.

Ego is the enemy!

A glimpse inside me:
I consider emotional intelligence the essential skill in human interactions but think it is a thin line between empathy and overthinking.
I hate regret and reflect on Christmas about what I should change, but mostly want too much at the same time.
I see comparing yourself to others the fastest way to unhappiness, even though it’s hard to resist.
I believe in long-time commitment over short-term gains, but don’t like over-planning.
I am quite rational, but acknowledge that almost all good decisions in my life were based on my gut.
I am convinced that nothing good comes overnight but think most people perceive it like this.
I consider luck as the blind date of preparation and opportunity but am aware that life is not fair, which is still not an excuse.
I experienced that life sometimes hits you in the head with a brick, but love positivity.
I understand it’s hard to change, but don't like complainers.
I appreciate little acts of kindness but don’t like superficial people.
I like tech but don't understand people who are always checking their phones while being with friends.
I do value experience in professional life, but think curiosity and willingness to adapt always wins in an ever-changing world.
I believe in making up your mind without neglecting the knowledge of domain experts when it comes to the past, not the future.
I like to enjoy the good things in life, but hate all kinds of waste, especially time.
I like mentoring people even though I am not sure if I have a lot to give.
I admire any kind of successful* people but especially the ones who are purpose-driven, never forget where they come from and do not take themselves too seriously.

*I like various definitions of success:

"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm." - Winston Churchhill

“Success is really nothing more than the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. This means that any person who knows what they are doing and where they are going is a success. Any person with a goal towards which they are working is a successful person.” - Earl Nightingale

“Success is when reality looks like what's in our imagination” - unknown
